Christmas at Presquile

I had the opportunity to check out Christmas at Presquile this Sunday past, and I encourage all of you to make the trek out this week. They will be open again on Wednesday, then Saturday and Sunday. The tearoom was my first stop where Mae served me their lovely rum cake and coffee. One piece of cake and you can still drive, two and you may not pass a breathalizer.
There is something for everyone and for every price range inside. Beauitful silk scarves from the county, paper toile pictures, knitting, felting and lots of candy and canned goods. I picked up a couple of cut little plaques for the babies rooms as well as some nice fresh catnip for Gilmour. He has been having a love affair with it ever since. It was for his Christmas stocking but I thought he needed and lift.
I also managed to take in the Quilt display at the Salem Church on Sunday. They had a wonderful selection of quilts and wallhangings. It is a lovely old church that I have passed numerous times on my way to shows but had never been inside.
We missed Janice today at knitting but understand that those grandchildren come first . Hope the garage cleaning went well, although it was such a nice day I would have been inclined to leave it till spring.
M.
