Winter just won't go away

Winter is not my favorite time of year. I tolerate it, dress as warmly as possible and research winter gear, but I really hate it. This winter has been no acception. With the continuing downward spiral of temperatures I have to admit it's getting to me. It's difficult for customers to get to the shop and dangerous for those who have to drive distances to work or for medical appointments. There seems to be a lot of the latter and I blame that on , wait for it, yes winter !
Moving on . lol
I attended my friend Sharon's 70th birthday this past weekend and was treated to a show by the Quinte Isle, and Cold Creek Cloggers. What a time. I wish I has half their energy. What an amazing group of men and women and they were having a great time. It's only a number, let's dance was Sharon's motto of the day and dance she did. I envy her.
This week was our Valentines Sale and I want to thank all of you who supported us. It was nice to see so many of you braving the elements.
There has been a huge arrival of new blenders and we hope to have them out on the floor by this week. Spring yarns have also arrived and it's like there's a rebirthing in the shop. I've been dyeing wool all winter in an effort to keep up with the rug hookers and there's a decent selection of 8 value swatches to choose from.
Jayne has a lineup of of classes for the spring that I'm sure you all will enjoy.
Knitters continue to meet on Tuesdays from 1-3 , Hookers on Wednesdays from 1-3 , Mixed media on Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:30. All of these groups are very informative and helpful. They are designed to help those in need. Beginners to advanced levels attend these classes so there's help if you need it.
